What we do not do
RIAD MAG uses no advertising cookies, no audience-measurement tool that follows visitors from one site to another, and no embedded social media plug-in. There are no user accounts. Fonts are hosted on our own servers: no request is sent to Google Fonts.
What is processed
- Host’s technical logs: as with any website, our host Netlify processes the IP address, the browser and the page requested in order to display the site and protect it against abuse. RIAD MAG does not use them for profiling.
- Emails: if you write to the editorial team, we keep your message and your address for as long as necessary to reply to you and follow up on your request. Our email service is provided by NindoMail (Nindohost).
- Daily visitor count (internal measurement, with no cookies and nothing stored in your browser): when a page is displayed, a technical fingerprint is calculated from the IP address and the browser, mixed with a random value renewed every day; neither the IP address nor the browser is recorded. The fingerprints and the random value are deleted every night; only anonymous daily totals are kept. Identified bots and prefetches are not counted. The figure is an estimate: a person who changes device or network may be counted twice.
- Newsletter: sign-up is not yet open. It will open after the formalities required by Law No. 09-08, with express consent and an unsubscribe link in every mailing.
International data transfers
Some of RIAD MAG’s service providers process data outside the European Union:
- Netlify, Inc. (hosting, United States): transfers governed by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which Netlify states that it adheres in its data processing agreement, and, failing that, by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (decision 2021/914).
- Sanity (management of editorial content, Sanity US Inc. or Sanity AS): transfers governed by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (decision 2021/914), incorporated into its data processing agreement. No visitor data is stored there.
- NindoMail (Nindohost, email, Morocco): Morocco is not the subject of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.
